Linda Stanton, RN, recently promoted to Givens Communities Clinical Educator position

Congratulations to Linda Stanton, RN, on her recent promotion to the newly created Givens Communities Clinical Educator position. Linda started at Givens Highland Farms in 2013 as our campus Staff Development Coordinator. In her new role, she will be doing training and education in the clinical areas throughout Givens Communities, as well as starting an in-house CNA program to train new nurse aides. She has been involved in training since her teens, having taught Water Safety Instructor for lifeguards, First Aid, and CPR, and was an instructor in the AB Tech CNA program.

An avid swimmer, Linda competed on swim teams and was a swimming referee. She became an EMT/Paramedic before earning her nursing degree. Linda has been a nurse for 30 years, beginning her career in the Air Force Nurse Corps stationed at Lackland AFB and Guantanamo Bay Navy Base. Originally from CT, she moved to Asheville in 1997, first working at Mission Hospital CVICU.  She has done travel nursing all over the country and eventually transitioned to nursing in Hospice and Long-Term Care settings. Linda is proud to be a member of the Givens Communities Team and is looking forward to working to support staff across our campuses. Congratulations to Linda! Givens Communities is fortunate to have you.
