WNC Nature Center visits HealthCare Center

Our Recreation Therapy department recently brought in the WNC Nature Center for an educational opportunity and sensory stimulation for residents to enjoy. Residents learned about beavers, skunks, owls and got to meet Rosa the box turtle!  Rosa was rescued and brought to the Nature Center for rehabilitation.  Senses were stimulated by touching beaver and skunk fur and owl feathers! Rosa the box turtle also came around the room for anyone who wanted to touch her shell.

Thanks to Derek, Rachel, and our awesome Recreational Therapy department for hosting this fun event for our residents!
