Our 2018 United Way Campaign is rapidly nearing an end, and it’s been very impressive! According to United Way, by the end of this campaign, our staff will have donated a total of $11.7k (this was a whopping 81.9% increase from the 2017 campaign)! These funds will ensure that 600 seniors and people living with disabilities will get the support they need to remain healthy and independent. In addition, these funds will help 500 families and individuals who are in crisis be able to obtain food, make rent payments, and pay for utilities. There is no doubt about the huge community impact this has had and will continue to have on our surrounding area. This makes us want to out-do ourselves for the 2019 campaign!
This year we hope to expand our reach to our resident population and the larger community. We will have a Halloween-themed event on October 26th between 4:30-7:00pm. Help support United Way by joining us! There will be trunk-or-treating, pie bidding, a pumpkin raffle, games, and a 50/50 raffle for team members, residents, and the local community.
All are welcomed to join, so please let anyone and everyone know about the event!
