Residential Assisted Living

Comfort, Community,
and Peace of Mind

Residential Assisted Living at Prentice Lodge offers an additional level of personalized support within the familiar setting of Givens Highland Farms. Designed for residents who may need more day-to-day assistance than traditional independent living provides, this model helps residents continue enjoying the comfort, relationships, and routines of the community they already call home. Rather than transitioning immediately to a higher level of care, residents can receive individualized support in a more residential, home-like environment.

Personalized Support

Services at Residential Assisted Living at Prentice Lodge are customized for each resident and may include assistance with daily activities, medication support, wellness monitoring, and coordination with nursing or therapy services. Support is available 24 hours a day, giving residents and families added peace of mind while preserving as much independence as possible. Care plans are developed individually and can evolve over time as resident needs change.

In addition to supportive care services, the program is designed to maintain the warmth and comfort of residential living. Residents may continue enjoying pet companionship, shared living arrangements for couples, and the welcoming community atmosphere that defines life at Prentice Lodge. The goal is to provide compassionate support while helping residents remain engaged, comfortable, and confident in their everyday lives.

F.A.Q.

What is Residential Assisted Living at Prentice Lodge?

Residential Assisted Living (RAL) at Prentice Lodge is a supportive service model within the Givens Highland Farms Life Plan Community for residents who would benefit from additional assistance beyond traditional independent living, but who do not require a Skilled Nursing setting.

This model supports aging in place by layering personalized services into a familiar residential environment, allowing residents to remain part of the community they know while receiving the support they need.

Over time, resident needs naturally change. Many residents have shared a desire to remain in their homes and within the Givens Highland Farms community, even as they need more day-to-day support.

Residential Assisted Living at Prentice Lodge was created to:

  • Respond to evolving resident needs
  • Provide a clear, consistent support option between independent living and skilled nursing
  • Reduce unnecessary moves and disruptions
  • Strengthen our ability to support residents as they age

Services are individualized based on resident needs and may include:

  • Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transfers, and mobility
  • Medication reminders and medication administration
  • Routine wellness checks and monitoring
  • Coordination with nursing, therapy, and wellness services
  • Support during periods of short-term illness or recovery
  • Wound care
  • Respiratory needs (nebulizers, oxygen, inhalers)

Services may be adjusted over time as needs change.

  • All residents participating in RAL will have an individualized Plan of Care, developed through a licensed home care agency
  • Services outlined in the Plan of Care may be delivered by Givens Highland Farms team members.
  • Care plans are reviewed and adjusted as resident needs change
