On April 12, 2019 the Resident’s Corporation hosted it’s First Annual Resident Corporation Volunteer Fair and was a wonderful success! The event consisted of 40 tables in the Assembly Room with each one uniquely decorated. There was also a “best table in show contest” so everyone pulled out all the stops to create the festive atmosphere.

Presentations were given by multiple committees including the Woodworking Shop, Library, Greenhouse, Dulcimer Jam, Highlights, Gift/Thrift Shop, Herb Ball Nature Trail, Readers Theater and many more. Residents, staff, and guests visited tables to learn more and explore possible volunteer opportunities.

Givens Highland Farms is a community full of caring and generous residents who are forever volunteering their time not only on our campus but also with many organizations in the surrounding areas. Last year, our residents and staff volunteered an estimated unpaid quarter of a million dollars of their time. We are extremely proud and fortunate to have such caring and thoughtful residents who enjoy giving back to the community.

Due to the great response and turnout, The Resident Corporation Volunteer Fair will become and annual event.
