This week, 125 residents of Givens Highland Farms participated in “Celebrate Swannanoa” as their way of showing support for a neighboring community hard-hit by Hurricane Helene and still on its way to recovery.
Often referred to as “Ground Zero” for the storm and flooding aftermath, devastation was widespread along the business corridor, populated with small businesses, restaurants and mom-and-pop shops.

“Celebrate Swannanoa” showcased the opening of new businesses, including a video featuring stories about local stores and the people behind their operation. The gathering was sponsored by the Givens Highland Farms Social Connections committee. Participating businesses generously donated items that were given away as door prizes, adding to the fun and excitement.
